Rwanda Gears Up for the 16th National Agriculture Show

Kigali, Rwanda – The Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources (MINAGRI) is excited to announce the highly anticipated 16th National Agriculture Show, scheduled to take place from July 20th to July 29th, 2023. This prestigious event will be held at the Mulindi / Gasabo Show Ground in Kigali.

The Rwanda National Agriculture Show, also known as Agrishow, has become a flagship event in the agricultural sector, attracting farmers, agribusinesses, policymakers, researchers, and international exhibitors. This year’s show promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with a wide range of exhibitors and activities lined up.

With the theme “Innovative Agriculture for Sustainable Development,” the 16th Agrishow aims to showcase the latest advancements and technologies in the agricultural sector. It serves as a platform for stakeholders to exchange knowledge, explore business opportunities, and foster partnerships that can contribute to the growth and development of Rwanda’s agriculture industry.

The organizers have already received an overwhelming response from exhibitors, with 147 participants registering for the event so far. The exhibitors represent various countries, including Rwanda, France, Kenya, China, Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Nigeria, Togo, Somalia, and Zimbabwe. This diverse group of participants highlights the international interest and recognition of Rwanda’s agricultural potential.

Visitors can expect a wide array of exhibits, including agricultural machinery, livestock, seeds, fertilizers, agro-processing technologies, and innovative solutions for sustainable farming practices. The show will also feature live demonstrations, expert presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, making it a comprehensive and interactive experience for all attendees.

Minister of Agriculture and Animal Resources, Honorable Jeanine Mukeshimana, expressed her excitement for the upcoming event, stating, “The Rwanda National Agriculture Show is a platform that enables us to showcase the remarkable progress and achievements of Rwanda’s agricultural sector. We are thrilled to welcome exhibitors from around the world who can contribute to our ongoing efforts in transforming the agricultural landscape through innovation and sustainability.”

In addition to the exhibition, the show will host a series of conferences and workshops addressing key topics such as climate-smart agriculture, agribusiness financing, market access, and youth involvement in agriculture. These sessions will provide valuable insights and practical knowledge to help attendees navigate the challenges and opportunities in the sector.

To ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, the organizers will implement strict health and safety protocols in line with the prevailing COVID-19 guidelines. Visitors are encouraged to pre-register online and follow the recommended safety measures throughout the event.
