Agricom Africa Facilitates Agricultural Modernization with Equipment Handover at Nane Nane Exhibitions
Dodoma, Tanzania — The 2024 Nane Nane National Exhibitions in Dodoma witnessed a pivotal moment in Tanzania’s agricultural progress with Agricom Africa’s handover of sophisticated farming equipment to the Tanzanian government. The ceremony, part of the broader “Agenda 10/30: Agriculture is Business” initiative, took place under the watchful eyes of Tanzanian President, Hon. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, highlighting a major stride towards agricultural modernization.
During this significant event, the government received:
- 500 tractors
- 800 power tillers
- 200 farm preparation tools
The equipment, valued at 44.63 billion Tanzanian Shillings (TZS), was procured as part of governmental efforts to empower local farmers with modern technologies that promise to increase productivity and sustainability in agriculture.
This year’s Nane Nane theme, “Embrace Visionary Leadership for Agricultural Transformation,” reflects the nation’s commitment to innovative and sustainable agricultural practices.
