Kilolo Trade and Investment Expo 2025 to Spotlight Agricultural Transformation
Kilolo, Iringa – May 6, 2025
Preparations are in full swing for the Kilolo Trade and Investment Expo 2025, a landmark event set to take place from 21st to 25th May 2025 at the FDC Ilula Grounds in Kilolo, Iringa Region. With just 16 days to go, the countdown has begun for what is expected to be one of the most vibrant trade showcases in Tanzania’s Southern Highlands.
This year’s edition comes at a transformative moment for the nation’s agricultural landscape. Under the newly expanded Agricultural Growth Corridors of Tanzania (AGCOT) framework—formerly SAGCOT—the Kilolo Expo is a strategic platform to demonstrate regional investment potential, agro-industrial prospects, and public-private partnerships advancing inclusive green growth.
The Kilolo Trade and Investment Expo 2025 is being co-organised by the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA)—Kilolo Chapter, in close collaboration with the Kilolo District Council. With support from key partners such as NMB Bank, Silverlands, Farm for the Future, AGCOT Centre Ltd, ETG, and more. The expo will bring together government leaders, private investors, agribusiness innovators, and local entrepreneurs.
AGCOT in Focus: Southern Corridor Opportunity
Kilolo falls within the SAGCOT Corridor, the most mature of the four AGCOT zones. Recognized for its success in crops such as tea, maize, avocados, soybeans, and dairy, the corridor has evolved into a model of integrated agricultural transformation. Through its cluster-based approach, AGCOT aims to scale SAGCOT’s public-private development model across all regions, with Kilolo emerging as a priority growth zone.
Kilolo is strategically positioned to benefit from the national AGCOT initiative.
What to Expect at the Expo
Visitors to the Kilolo Trade and Investment Expo 2025 can look forward to:
- Exhibitions from agribusinesses, SMEs, cooperatives, processors, and exporters
- Investment forums on agriculture, agro-processing, and value addition
- Panel discussions on financing, climate-smart farming, and corridor-based development
