About A Letter from Sweden
A column by Christine Afandi A. on life, work and language between East Africa and the Nordics.
A Letter from Sweden is a column by Christine Afandi A., a Kenyan-born writer based in Örebro, Sweden. Each letter looks at a small, everyday moment — a silent bus stop, a cashless café, a coffee break at work, a Kiswahili greeting on a cold bus — and asks what East Africa and the Nordics can learn from each other.
The letters are personal and opinionated. They are columns, not news reports, and they reflect the writer’s own experience and views.
