Kilolo DC Drums Up Support for Trade and Investment Expo 2025
Ilula, Kilolo – April 16, 2025
With just over a month to go before the Kilolo Trade and Investment Expo 2025, Kilolo District Commissioner Hon. Rebecca Nsemwa is rallying stakeholders, the media, and the business community to support and participate actively in this transformative event. Ahead of a high-level preparatory meeting on April 16, 2025, at FDC-Ilula, the DC emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to ensure the success of the upcoming expo.
A Platform for Prosperity
The Kilolo Trade and Investment Expo 2025, scheduled for May 21–25, will spotlight opportunities in agribusiness, industry, and trade. From avocado and apple farming to investment in tea processing and manufacturing, the district positions itself as a fertile ground for innovation and growth.
The Expo is not just an event—it’s a movement to unlock Kilolo’s full economic potential, noted Hon. Nsemwa, calling on journalists, entrepreneurs, and investors to unite to shape this landmark occasion’s narrative and outcome.
SAGCOT at the Centre of Agricultural Transformation
A key partner in this initiative is the Southern Agricultural Growth Corridor of Tanzania (SAGCOT), whose cluster-based approach to agricultural development continues to transform rural economies in the Southern Highlands and beyond. SAGCOT’s participation in the Kilolo Expo reflects its commitment to catalyzing inclusive agribusiness investments and building resilient food systems through public-private partnerships.
Strategic Media Engagement
Dubbed “Kikao Kazi cha Maandalizi na Waandishi wa Habari”, the April 16th meeting serves as a vital platform for aligning communication strategies, amplifying awareness, and mobilizing participation. The gathering will take place at 10:00 AM at Chuo cha FDC-Ilula, drawing journalists, business leaders, and development partners from across the region.
Open Invitation to Stakeholders
All businesspeople, youth entrepreneurs, cooperatives, and investors are invited to attend and explore partnership opportunities. The event also offers sponsors and exhibitors a space to engage with Kilolo’s growing ecosystem of innovation and enterprise.
Powered by Partnerships
A strong coalition, including TCCIA, SAGCOT, NMB Bank, Silverlands, IOP, and various local authorities, supports the expo and its preparatory activities, underscoring Kilolo’s readiness to scale up economic impact through public-private collaboration.
