Dodoma, Tanzania – In an unprecedented gathering aimed at accelerating the growth and development of the tea industry in Tanzania, the Tea Board of Tanzania (TBT) is set to host the 2024 Annual Tea Industry Stakeholders’ Meeting.
Themed “Changamkia Fursa, Ongeza kasi ya Maendeleo ya Tasnia ya Chai Tanzania” (Seize the Opportunity, Accelerate the Development of Tanzania’s Tea Industry), this pivotal event is scheduled for Tuesday, March 26, 2024, starting at 4:00 AM, at the Morena Hotel in Dodoma, Tanzania.
The Minister of Agriculture, Hon. Hussein Bashe, has confirmed his participation, signaling the government’s commitment to supporting and promoting the tea sector as a key driver of economic growth and sustainability. Sponsored by CARE and UTT AMIS, among other supporters, the meeting aims to bring together farmers, producers, exporters, government officials, and other stakeholders in the tea industry to discuss challenges, opportunities, and innovative strategies for advancing the sector.
