This Report delves into an examination of the agricultural regulatory framework in Tanzania, featuring
the key areas as identified by AGRA (the Client) in the Terms of Reference. The underlying objective
centered on the examination of the ineptness of the existing regulatory framework on the four key areas
that require reform in order to boost agro-investment and trade in Tanzania. Theyare the new seed
propagation, registration and access; fertilizers registration and supply; contract farming in selected
crops, and marketing of agricultural commodities with a view to easing the process of securing export
permits.
